Comments On Clip Subjects: Prepared green waste is placed in windrows for two to three months for composting. It is then placed in large piles for about three more months to finish composting. When the composting is completed, the material is run through a trommel screen to separate remaining large pieces from the compost, creating a refined product. Front loaders transfer the compost to dumptrucks that transport it for use.
